Brian Teague is a seasoned nonprofit professional with over fifteen years of experience in organizational strategy, development, and fundraising. He currently serves as the Senior Director of Advancement at Bay Cove Human Services, a Boston-based nonprofit that provides individualized and compassionate services to people facing challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness, at more than 175 program sites throughout Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts.
In his role as Senior Director, Brian oversees the Advancement Department, setting the strategic direction for fundraising, marketing, and donor engagement, while utilizing innovative, data-driven strategies to elevate brand awareness and financial support for Bay Cove’s programs.
Before joining Bay Cove, Brian held various roles, including Director of Prospect Management and Research at PRX, a nonprofit media company specializing in audio journalism. While at PRX, he rediscovered his love for facilitation, moderation, and guiding group discussions. Before that, he spent six years at The Greater Boston Food Bank, where he advanced through several positions, ultimately becoming Manager of Development, Prospect Research, and Strategy. At the Greater Boston Food Bank, Brian had the opportunity to hone skills in project management, organizational and operational strategy, and strategic planning across multiple verticals.
Brian’s commitment to nonprofit causes extends beyond his professional roles. He is a founding member of Bay Cove’s Young Professional Advocates. Brian served as Managing Director of Team Intestinal Fortitude (TIF), a nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funds for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. He has also demonstrated leadership in the LGBTQIA+ community as the Director of Community Outreach and External Affairs for Boston’s FLAG Flag Football League, the largest LGBTQIA+ sports league in New England. In this capacity, he led the league’s youth scholarship initiatives and community partnerships.
An active member of the Andrew Square Civic Association, Brian is deeply committed to his community and strives to create meaningful, lasting change through his professional work and volunteer activities.
Brian is an avid concert and live music attendee, enjoys long dinners at restaurants throughout Greater Boston, and spends as much time as he can during the summer on the Cape.
