Why We Do This Work

By centering the LGBTQ+ perspective within our most important conversations, we help LGBTQ+ talent and allied organizations enjoy the benefits of celebrating pride in the workplace. We spotlight important, often unheard points of view on timely issues, help connect LGBTQ+ professionals with one another, and provide organizations with the tools they need to grow and thrive.
PIOW exists to ensure LGBTQ+ people can bring their full selves to work and succeed. By addressing systemic inequities, elevating LGBTQ+ voices, and equipping organizations with practical inclusion tools, PIOW helps create workplaces where diversity is valued, leadership is representative, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Founded in 2006, PIOW has two decades of experience supporting LGBTQ+ professionals and inclusive workplaces. The organization offers year-round programming, including regular events, webinars, panels, and annual Pride-season activities.
How YOU Can Make A Difference
Individuals and organizations can support and engage with PIOW by:
Volunteering — contributing skills, time, or expertise to support events, programs, committees, and community initiatives
Donating — providing financial support to sustain programming, expand impact, and fund community grants for LGBTQ+ organizations
Sponsorship – sponsoring events, collaborating on programs, or aligning DEIB efforts with PIOW’s mission
Participating — attending events, sharing resources, and amplifying PIOW’s work within professional networks
