This year was a whirlwind to be sure. We brought on our first full-time employee when we welcomed Andy Rubinson as our Executive Director in October. Shortly after we said goodbye to our President and Board Chair, Cheryl Katon, but don’t worry, Cheryl hasn’t gone too far, as we welcomed her onto our Advisory Board. We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished together last year – join us in looking back on PIOW’s 2024 impact.

A message from PIOW Executive Director, Andy Rubinson
As Pride in Our Workplace (PIOW) releases our 2024 Impact Report, I’m filled with both gratitude and excitement—gratitude for the incredible work that has brought us to this moment and excitement for what lies ahead. Since stepping into the role of Executive Director, I’ve had the privilege of meeting our dedicated board members, engaged corporate sponsors, and passionate community partners. Each conversation has reinforced what I already knew: PIOW is an organization with tremendous potential to drive lasting change in workplace inclusion.
This year’s Impact Report highlights the progress we’ve made together—expanding our programming, deepening community partnerships, and amplifying the voices of LGBTQ+ professionals. From best practice-sharing roundtables to in-person networking events, we’ve created spaces where professionals can connect, learn, and thrive as their authentic selves.
Looking ahead, I’m eager to work alongside our board to create a strategic vision for PIOW’s future—one that builds on our strong foundation while identifying new ways to expand our reach, strengthen corporate engagement, and ensure our work continues to make a meaningful impact. With the support of our incredible community, I know that 2025 will be a year of even greater growth and transformation.
